Update Your Products

How did you spend your morning?

We continue to start ours working on new ideas for our classrooms and creating new products for our store and when we look up it is dinner time. AGGHH! Where does the time go?! We have been trying to find the time to put to use all of the amazing information that we learned by attending the TpT Vegas 2015 Conference. It was a great experience and would recommend it to anyone who is thinking about attending next year but, it would have been a lot easier if we could have put just one of the great presenters in our suitcases to take home and walk us through some of the improvements we are making to our blog and products. Isn't there anyone out there that would like a little working vacation in Malibu?:)

One fun change that we did was update the look of our store. Did you know that you can add pictures to your quote section and decorate a banner to "hang" in your store?  All you need to do is follow the simple directions that you took notes on during one of the sessions you attended at the conference. Unfortunately for us, we aren't very good at taking notes. But after several attempts and a good Google search, we found a website that helped. Look what is in place of our quote now!

We have created some easy "Print and Go!" packets that can help anyone who needs some good time saving curriculum. We bind them in a soft book with a darling cover that is included and use throughout the year. Please stop our store and check out our new "facelift".

And The Winner Is....

Who said nobody wins in Vegas?! Woo Hoo!! So excited to get this email today.

I actually won the TpT Networking Ice Breaker. It was a signature treasure hunt. The funny thing is I was so bad at it. I was missing signatures until the very last minute.  Luckily, some really nice teachers helped me fill  in the spots.  Thank you to all of my new Vegas friends who signed my sheet. It was wonderful sharing some laughter and insight with all of you! I can't wait to use my new Creative Clips. I love her work! This is better than playing the slots!

TpT Vegas 2015...Wow!!!

What a fun, exhausting, motivating experience TpT Vegas 2015 was for us. We learned so much…many valuable strategies and marketing techniques.  

We were so excited to meet some of our favorite bloggers. Jennifer at FirstGradeBlueSkies is wonderful. 

She was so friendly and such a great resource. 

We also spent some time talking to the wonderful, Deanna Jump and had many “AHA” takeaways from her class. Look how fresh she looks compared to us. I think we were on mind overload!

 We loved making connections with Kim Adsit and her daughter Megan from Kindergals. Love this Mother and

Daughter team. Meghan is a techie…and she sure helped us with a few of our Vegas posts. We wish we could have spent more time with them at the networking. 

Speaking of the Networking event, we met Kimberly and Shari. Kim Jordano is another California gal and we were so excited to finally meet her. She is so creative! I have been secretly stalking her and she inspired the farm bulletin board in our classroom photos. We can't wait to meet up with her and collaborate. Check out her blog KinderbyKim. She's awesome!

It truly was 2 great days. As soon as we can digest all of our new tricks of the trade, we will be sharing them here….because unlike the saying, “What happens in Vegas gets shared here!”

Getting Ready For Vegas Baby!!

We are so excited to go to Vegas for the TPT conference!

The three of us have been traveling and vacationing with our families since school got out. It will be so much fun to be together this weekend.  We have been busy updating our store and making some new products. We can't wait to learn new things and meet new people. We thought it would be fun to have something to share with our new TPT colleagues we meet so we ordered some pens from the Penfactory!

We thought it would be fun to squeeze in a show while we were there too! There was a great deal on Travelzoo...so we will be at the late show of  Cirque's O on Friday night! 

We got great seats and the price was fantastic.

Meeting in Malibu

It is a LUNCH DATE in Malibu!  We decided to take some time off from our summer activities and met up for lunch at the Malibu Country Mart!

After fueling up we headed to school to find our rooms partially cleaned!  The carpet and floors look great- windows still need some work.  We got our new Smartboards installed! YEAH!!!!

We also got a new interactive white board.  Can't wait to use them.

Unfortunately, we had to take some things down first.  But that didn't stop us!  We found a sledge hammer and started banging away!  OOPS!  We have to do a little repair work now!  Anybody have any ideas?

WER'E BACK!!

Wow we have been away from our blog for quite some time...but we are back!! This school year finished off with a lot of activity. Our school is getting a deep cleaning this summer so we have been packing up for the past few weeks. It is amazing how much stuff we have collected over the years but we let go and purged. Between us there were 45 Hefty bags of trash.  We are also getting new Smartboards and interactive white boards. It will be nice to come back to school in August with a new and improved classroom!:)

All of us have some fun summer plans with our families but we will be together in Vegas for the TPT conference. We can't wait to have some fun at the Venetian while connecting with others and letting it ride on black. Maybe we will be able to retire early. If you are going to the conference we would love to meet you. Come say "Hi". We will be wearing our button.

SUPER BOWL SUNDAY

Between birthday parties for our kids, surviving the flu bug, and automobiles that have decided to drive only in reverse we have been so busy we haven't been posting on our blog. But we are back!! Busy as ever making new lessons and learning new methods of assessment. It's that time of the year...REPORT CARDS! Do you love them as much as we do? Luckily, we have this weekend to finish them up as we watch the Super Bowl. GO Sea Hawks!!

It is hard to believe it is already February. We are hoping Phil the Groundhog sees his shadow! In honor of him, we have put a free darling Groundhog Day craft from our mini unit up on our TPT store for FREE! Please stop by the store and get this product! Have a great weekend watching football!
